I had a tooth ache last night and I went to the doctor. SURPRISE ROOT CANAL!

I am really cautious with eating foods that take a lot of chewing since I got a temp filling.

Right now I got

Congi (rice soup)
Bread and cream cheese
And yogurt
Soup
Swiss Rolls

I am pretty hungry. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

right now i am giving up on over cooked cup o noodles since half my face is super numb like two face.

    Bananas
    Apple Sauce
    Oatmeal
Meal replacement shakes? I have no idea which of these are any good though.

cottage cheese. That stuff got me through so many braces-tightening days back in high school. It's good plain or with a little bit of black pepper. I perfer the large curd one since it's a bit more...substantial and not so semi-liquidy like small curd. You can even add your favorite salad dressing (italian, french, whatever) and it's AWESOME. Oh, and it practically slides right down, so minimal to no chewing required. Also, any soft cheese works too. Mozzarella sticks are good. Brie, if you like that type of thing.

Tuna salad sandwiches don't require too much chewing, especially if you mix the tuna with a decent bit of mayo (i also like to add dill and tad of relish for extra flavor).

Combine some plain yogurt with some non-seeded fruits (trader joe's frozen blend of mango and pineapple is great for this), a few tablespoons of honey, and blend it all. Delicious smoothie (and cool too which should feel good on your gums. If it doesn't, it's still good at room temp)

Roasted/baked carrots are very tasty and if baked for at least 30-40 minutes will be soft to eat. I actually think they're most delicious when they're that soft because the natural sugars are more apparent. A pat of butter or two, depending on quantity, and salt it before baking.

    Are meats game?

I usually get one in plastic containers like this one: http://www.leekangkoog.org/images/cottageCheese800.jpg, except the large curd instead of small

Oh yes, cottage cheese is amazing.

Pepper is a must, italian dressing is very nice.

For a crazy twist, try a topanade. Its basically some mashed up olives, but there are TONS of different types. I think the best with cottage cheese is a green normal salad olive topanade. It has a nice sour with the creamy cheese.

Scrambled eggs/omelets work really well with newly tightened braces, I'd imagine they'd be good for root canal/new filling as well. Scrambled especially don't require too much intensive chewing.

They're also more substantial, which is really, really nice after a few hours of yogurt and fruit.

I feel for you man, I recently got braces for the second motherfucking time, and I can't eat shit.

Rice is my staple, Yogurt is good, and Sushi works surprisingly well, but you have to look like a retard as you cut it in half.

    Chili, also.
