Simple Video Editing Program

I've tried looking for some nice, simple, free video editing programs on Google, but it's been coming up with crap, and I was wondering if you guys could lend me a hand. I just need to resize my videos, they're like 300mb - over 1gb after recording, and it's ridiculous.
