Officials from Midway have confirmed that the company's 2007 lineup includes five titles in development exclusively for Nintendo platforms, including a version of Ultimate Mortal Kombat for the Nintendo DS and a new sequel in the company's long running Cruis'n racing series for the Wii.
Following the recent release of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon for the Wii, Ultimate Mortal Kombat will partner the content found in 1996's Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 with Mortal Kombat: Deception's “Puzzle Kombat†mini-game. The portable title, which is expected to ship this November, will also support Nintendo's WiFi Connection, allowing players to compete against each other regardless of their physical location.
Also confirmed for release in November is Cruis'n, a new version of the company's addictive arcade racing series. The game will include “an impressive lineup†of licensed cars, 12 circuits, and of course motion sensitive controls. There will also be the ability to earn upgrades to customize your car.
Filling out the 5 exclusives are Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends: Imagination Invaders for the DS, The Bee Game for the DS and GBA, and Game Party for the Wii. All of these land in November as well. Game Party sounds interesting, offering a collection of classic skill games such as darts and table hockey. Still, it's the first two games listed above that I'm most keeping on my radar.
