It's both awesome and depressing that this video is infinitely better than anything Hollywood might ever do if they were to turn the game into a movie.

I mostly just wanted to share that, but let's have a Punch-Out thread while we're at it!

I'm gonna throw some discussion topics your way, you go ahead and expand on them:
1) This video is awesome.
2) Punch-Out is one of the best games available on the Virtual Console.
3) Super Punch-Out should be on the Virtual Console.
4) They should make a new Punch-Out game.

Go nuts.

Oh, and that video is old (in Internet time). But still funny.

I see we're on the same page there.

Wii Punch-Out is the most obvious thing of all time. I won't even be surprised if Nintendo announces they're working on it at E3.

    Just overjoyed.

There is a sequel of sorts to the Punch-Out game.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arm_Wrestling_%28video_game%29
To beat the third opponent, Mask X, the player must remove his mask. Without his mask it is revealed that Mask X is actually Bald Bull, one of the opponents from the Punch-Out!! series.

Is better, and older. Beat that. (OK, it's just older)

Also, this is where I brag about finally beating Punch Out!! on the VC, after over a decade of torment.

Also, if no one's heard this song:

    Scott Peeples - Dreamfighter

Listen to it, and all its glory.

Oh, it's a good remix, I've had it on my playlist forever.

But I actually have Little Mac's Confession on there TWICE.

There already was a new Punch-Out sequel ... it was called Shadow of the Colossus. :rotate:

I agree there needs to be a sequel, but I'd settle for Super Punch-Out on the VC -- arguably one of my favorite SNES games. I played through it dozens of times and got all of the time requirements, too.

Well, isn't there a Wii game in Japan that could be kind of considered a sequel to Punch-Out?
I've always wondered if it was any good, and if it was, WHY ISN'T IT IN MY WII?

beating super macho man and mr. sandman takes a skill that stands up to any game that still exists in this day and age.

That Punchout Youtube link was amazing.

How did that not make it into at least the finals? I could not even make it through the other ones but that one I watched twice and will watch again for sure.

Home made Punch-Out Movie made in 1987, includes basement and mullet action.
I have a feeling that all the Punchout graphics and sounds where added later but it's just plain fun.

mike tyson/mr dream on the NES punchout is still a complete asshole. I hate you mike! HATTEEE YOU! (in that game)

That being said-- Ya, we need another punchout game thats more then Wii boxing. I wonder if they could pull off an Online version. I'm not sure the lag would make it possible though.

Sorry. I hold Punch-Out's Dreamfighter (by Scott Peeples) to be one of the greatest songs ever created. (Although I've never heard Little Mac's Confession, and can't at work).

I remember seeing that a while back, it looks great!

Also, a little OT, but I'd like to have that one Japanese Football game... I can't remember the name, but it was really anime-ish. It looked awesome!

Same, but I'm having a hard time learning German, and I heard that's easier than Japanese. My chances are pretty low ;(
