Tell me why Planescape: Torment won't install

Is it because I'm using Vista?

I can get to the Autorun screen, and then click 'Install' and there's loading and then nothing.

I'm using the four disc version but I don't think that really matters here.

Also: discuss PS:T, I didn't see another thread when I searched for it.

edit: dungeon keeper 2 is doing the same thing, this is terribly lame.

    I've had to leave old games install programs running for like half an hour on xp on occasion. They work... eventually. Dunno about Vista.

    Have you tried running the setup file on the CD with a compatibility mode selected?

    That hadn't even occurred to me.

    This isn't my PC, Vista is foreign to me. :p

    Sorry to hijack the thread but this is the most recent planescape one so I'll ask here.
    So I'm on my first playthrough and upset the Lady and got sent to the maze, I came out and now I can't find my party, I've been looking for awhile and I just want to make sure that this isn't a bug, but is whatts supposed to happen

    I think they should be where you left them. I dunno, I never got Mazed.

    Just go back to the last screen you were at before you got mazed.

    Sad to say there is sometimes a bug where your party members disappear/won't talk to you after you get out of the Maze. Happened to me once. Luckily I had a few hours old savegame that was right before I ticked her off. Good luck.

    Just in case the OP hasn't, going here and installing just about every file they have will not only patch up PST but give some old hands at it a few extra events that had been bugged out of the original.
