I'm looking for a good website with independent reviews and detailed specifications for camera equipment in particular lenses.

Any suggestions?

    seemingly reviewed by single editor/editorial staff (canon and sigma gear) -> http://www.the-digital-picture.com

    there was this other really good site for lens reviews (user reviews) that was decidedly lo-fi (not many ads or graphics or flash nonsense) but heavy on analysis, good commenting. sorry, the site name eludes me, but it also had a 1 to 5 rating system (with very few reviewed gear breaking into 4.0+ territory) and reviewed all kinds of high-end/specialty lenses as well (medium format).
