Cut eyebrow/swollen eyelid remedy?

So apparently I had too much to drink last night and face-planted a dance floor. I had been watching Fight Club earlier and the day, and the way I see it now, the floor and I were going to start a Fight Club (but don't tell anyone about it).

Anyways, after a much unneeded ride in an ambulance and trip to the ER, I have a stitched up eyebrow and a swollen eyelid. How should I be caring for said eyelid so as to reduce swelling and bruising?

Put an icepack on it, preferably wrapped in a small towel or washcloth.

It'll help if there's pain, but probably not the swelling.

Ibuprofen (Nurofen) is an anti-inflammatory as well as a painkiller.

I had some tendonitis in my wrist, and I was prescribed Ibuprofen to reduce the swelling. According to my doctor, you have to take a fairly large dose for the anti-inflammation to kick in. I was taking 800mg every 8 hours or so.
