PayPal Premier

Okay... so I've started selling crap on eBay and using PayPal because of the obvious convenience.
All has been fine and dandy until just now. I got a notification that I've received an instant payment on PayPal for an item I sold on eBay. Instead of the payment being automatically deposited into my account like usual, suddenly I've got to "accept" or "deny" the payment.
Here's the catch: the only way I can accept the payment is if I open a PayPal Premier account and start letting PayPal take a cut of my sales. They are holding my money ransom. Basically.
I believe your choices are to either wait a year until you can take more transfers, or upgrade and take the hit.
On the upside, the premier account allows you to accept credit cards through ebay, which is nice.

Goddammit. I just don't like the idea that eBay now gets to take two swipes at my profit after leading me to believe that they'd only ever take one. Oh well.
