I loved Vanilla Sky, but it's a love it or hate it type of movie.
have you seen open your eyes
vanilla sky was a remake of it
I haven't been able to pick up Abre Los Ojos yet. I've heard that if you see that first, you'll hate Vanilla Sky, and vice versa.
Up until Elizabethtown, I would give Cameron Crowe a sloppy sloppy blowjob any day.
Elizabethtown was an bucket of cold fat with a hair in it.
It was the only movie I have seen at the cinema where I went, I don't care that I paid money to see this I'm going to try and catch some sleep because it will be a more productive use of my time.
A friend of mine was in love with Cameron Crowe. By in love with, I mean obsessed over his movies and given half the chance would fuck him in the ass until a tiny army of gerbils wearing spelunking gear would have to be deployed to find him.
This same man told me that watching Elizabethtown was like nailing his cock to a cactus.
brick was an okay movie, but the dialogue really seemed out of place with the character/scene/time period.
It was a modern take on the film noir style.
That's the point.
It's like saying "A Scanner Darkly was a really good movie, but what was with the camera effects? Could they not hire competent cameramen or film editors?"
check out the movie taxi.
make sure you dont find "taxi driver" by accident, robert deniros comic timing is put to shame by queen latifah in this modern day remake.

fuck man, all i know is when i watch it i was like "dudes, the queen bee has the honey"
Holy crap (lol), I've been trying to find this, too. In the same movie, there's a really weird blowjob scene. I've only seen it absurdly high, so I have no idea.

See, i already mentioned this
except i recommended the awesome french originals
not the shitty american remake that you're advocating
Hudson Hawk: It's not great but watching Bruce Willis being toyed with by the likes of the CIA and the Vatican is pretty damn funny. Plus I love the music they sing.
The Princess Bride: Carry Elwes is fucking awesome.
American History X: If only for the curb stomp and maybe the prison shower scene :winky:. Really a great film though.

Part 1 was awesome enough, thank you.

IMDB knows about it, though
unfortunately, the rest of the movie is solid poop
Also Ikiru is so sad.
They're the movies that were remade into The Departed. Hong Kong cinema at its finest.
