Olivetti ANY_WAY simple can't print black

Was planning on bumping an older thread, but despite having a similar issue to one I found (the device prints in any colour except pure black) I've seen other forums swear blind that corrupted drivers can be to blame as well as clogs.
I would've assumed a clog myself, but this is a brand-new Olivetti ANY_WAY simple and a few Google searches found a bunch of people claiming that the driver CD corrupted for them. But I'm having major difficulties in finding an updated driver for it: uninstalling and reinstalling the printer failed to work, and the usual inbuilt cleaning/alignment exercises did it no good.
There's every chance it's a clog regardless of that (which either means getting out a tissue or just finding a less-cheapass printer), but I was wondering if anyone could help me track down drivers (official or otherwise) for this damn thing? The official website offers a half-gig .iso file, which isn't quite what I was hoping for.
