Demagnetizer on HDTV?

Hi, I work at an arcade and managed to borrow a demaganatizer, it's basicly a black loop and you supposedly just wave it over whatever color blotch your TV/Monitor might have. I'm planning to use it on a green blotch on the right side of my HDTV. This is that TV: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-TXS2782H-Slim-Fit-HDTV/dp/B000F2R5MY

What I'm wondering is if there'll be any issues, and perhaps recapping what's necessary to complete the procedure and how effective the results will be? Can anyone offer any help? The key issue here is will this hurt my TV.

It wont hurt your TV. Basically just plug in the loop and wave it in front of your TV nice and slow (while it is turned on). If you want to know a little more about what actually is going on, there is some info over at Wikipedia.
