I ended up using the .mac trial that comes with OS X. Stored some stuff on it, then realized there really wasn't a way to access that stuff without paying later, so I didn't end up using it in the end. However, my iDisk is still on my desktop, rather infuriatingly so, and I can't eject it and keep it from popping up every time I boot up. I looked under Ownership & Permissions / Details under it's info pane, and it has a thing that has [my user name] - deny delete
