New multi-game mod/map manager, CrosuS

Hey all! There's a new mod manager out called CrosuS, made by Isotx, the same folks who made ModToaster for C&C Generals: Zero Hour. The gist is that if you have one of the dozen or so games presently supported, you can use the program to browse for mods, read descriptions, see screenshots, maybe get some reviews, download and manage said mods, and more. Also, for about five games, it allows you to download a lot of custom maps. At the present time, there are about a hundred mods available for such games as Zero Hour, Half Life and Half Life 2, Doom 3, Unreal Tournament 2004, and so on. In addition to that, it's also got a big inventory of free standalone games, including the legendary kkrieger, a bunch of arcade classics, and pretty much any other style of game. I'm personally really fond of Curator Defense :P Soon it'll also have downloadable modding tools, like map editors and such.

On the downside, it's still in beta form, it still has a tendency to crash, and the list of games it supports isn't particularly huge yet. It needs refinement, is missing a lot of features it'll eventually have, and some stuff just doesn't work yet. On the other hand, it IS free, and will remain so.

It's got a system in place whereby people can make plugins for CrosuS that let it accept mods for other games, and, if the plugin works, the makers will probably include it in the future releases of the program with a lot of gratitude. If you all have some free time and the desire for a better version, the more help and feedback they get, the sooner and better it'll be done.

So, if you're interested, you can pick it up at http://www.isotx.com/?view=crosus

Enjoy!

Oh come on people, this is, without exaggeration or arrogance, potentially the best thing to ever happen to the modding community! We just need your input and support!
