Games hang off side of widescreen monitor

So, whenever I boot up a game that isn't the right resolution for my monitor (1680x1050), it hangs off to the right. Which is a problem, because I can't see the options button. Any ideas on how to fix that?

    What OS are you running?
    Have you tried running in a smaller resolution before running the program?

    Have you tried using the monitor's menu to move and resize the image to fit squarely? Some monitors do not self-correct the screen position for each resolution, so you might have to tune it in yourself.

    Try setting your screen resolution manually to the game's supported size before running, if Sniper's response doesn't work.
