Help burning video onto a DVD. (Nero Vision)

I'm not sure what details are going to be required to solve the problem so if anyone has experience with Nero Vision, just tell me what information you would like me to provide. I recently burnt three AVI files to DVD video using the software. Through out the entire process there was never an error. Eight hours later the DVD was completed but when I put the DVD in our stand alone player I received a "Wrong Disc" error. The DVD player has never had a problem with burnt media so i'm not really sure what went wrong. I'd prefer to waste as few DVDs as possible and google has had few helpful results.
TL;DR: Does anyone know why a burnt DVD will read as Wrong Disc in a stand alone player? Oh when I put the DVD in my PC the Video_TS folder was empty.
