I've been getting these continuous stomach aches since last evening, and while I wouldn't say they were painful they cause just enough discomfort for me to not be able to sleep. I've taken anti-acid and indigestion tablets to no effect. They started about an hour or so after a workout. Any idea what this could be?
Could be a number of things, but your physician would be the best person to check with.
Main reason I'm responding to this is that I came down with a fucking horrible case of food poisoning from Wendy's last week--on the 4th of July no less. I slept for 3 days straight and spent my waking minutes on the toilet. I did a bit of reading on Web M.D. and found out that anti-acid and indigestion tablets are not a good idea for some stomach ailments, especially food poisoning--that crap (literally) needs to get flushed out of your system and that type of medication just delays the process.
Do you have any other sysmptoms? Did you get any fast food after your workout or possibly eat something that might have been contaminated? Continuous stomach cramps are certainly a symptom of food poisoning but, again, it could be something else. I'd set up a doctor's appointment ASAP or, at the very least, check your symptoms on Web M.D. to see if you can get an idea of what's going on.
