So at the beginning of January this year I got pulled over for the first time in my life by speeding three miles over the limit. I'm not going to go into how utterly retarded the whole situation was, but I will say that the cops called for some fucking backup over this matter :x. My subdivision cops are notorious for pulling people over over stupid shit like this in order to meet their quota, so I suppose it was only a matter of time until I eventually got shanked by their asshole ways. Anyways, since it was my first ticket, I was able to get the case dismissed by taking a defensive driving class.
Flash forward to about twenty minutes ago.
I just got pulled over again (by, ironically, the same cop who pulled me over the first time), this time for apparently not making a complete stop at the stop sign. I honestly did not need this, especially since it's almost been six months since the last time I got pulled over. My concern now is regarding the points system for Texas. You can only have a certain number of points until your license is suspended for a year (another thing I really don't need), not to mention the costly effect it's going to have on the insurance.
I need to know if that first case that was dismissed a while back is going to still effect the points system on my record, plus what this second ticket is going to do to my insurance. I have no idea how many points Texans are allowed to build up until it warrants a revoked license, so that would help as well.
TL : DR - 2nd time to get pulled over in a year, first case was dismissed, does this even matter regarding points?

Anyway, it looks like moving violations are two points a piece for you, so even if they hit you with both you'll only have four. Six is Texas's limit, so you should be ok.

Also, am I gonna have to get a lawyer or something to reduce my sentence? My dad was talking about that, but even if he was able to haggle down the price the lawyer fees are gonna cost just as much as if he wasn't there.
