(usually shortened Gears or G.O.W.) is a tactical third-person shooter video game developed by Epic Games (the creators of the Unreal Tournament series) using Unreal Engine 3.0 technology and published by Microsoft Game Studios. Released for the Xbox 360 on November 7, 2006 in select stores in the United States, it was broadly released in major U.S. retailers on November 12, 2006. The game was released on November 17, 2006 in Europe outside of Germany, where Microsoft Game Studios did not publish the game after it was denied a rating. A Limited Collector's Edition was also released, which included a disc of bonus content and an art book titled Destroyed Beauty that detailed much of the game's back-story.
So it's summer, and all this talk of gears of war coming to the PC has got me playing GoW again. I'm online right now, so if anyone wants to play gears, my gamertag is below.
If you don't have a drive, how is it even possible to play at all? The game has been patched now.... don't you need to store that update somewheres?
Memory card. I have the update.
Ahhh, I was asking with genuine curiosity.... It's too bad it has to be some sort of "special xbox" drive, because a 20gig off newegg is like 18$, which is probably what you paid for the memory card.
The memory cards are disgustingly overpriced, too.
Bet part is, after paying $50 for 512mb, I can't even keep a copy of my saves on it; I have to move them back and forth each time I take them to a friend's house, and sometimes I have to move my gamer profile, too.

I think I may have played 2 times.
