Poor man's PC gaming thread: Circa early 2000s

Forgive me if this exist but I can't search for the term PC. So here I am with a Wii with two games (Sports and Play), a broken PS2, and an outdated PC. Right now that PC is my big concern. I'm looking for some older games that are less system intensive. To give you an idea of where I stand I can play Oblivion on the lower specs without too many complications aside from occasional slow down. So i'm looking for older but good PC games that can be run with a half gig of ram and a 2.4. I just canceled my WoW account. . .I have nothing to do other than job hunt and attempt to find a decent game or two.

I'm open to every genre so feel free to make suggestions of good games from the early 2000's

Already tried. Edit: I guess I listed a lot of FPS games. Unintentional
Deus Ex (fantastic, but a little too old)
Arx Fatalis (Bad control scheme)
Half Life 2 (Good times)
Hitman 3 (Lead to anger issues)
Battlefield 2142 (Excellent but some system lag in online play)
Vampires:Blood Lines (Hated it)
