The picture on my Wii is off the screen. I don't think it's supposed to do that.

Well, after a week of hellish schoolwork, I finally had time to sit down and play a game on my Wii. I turn it on, and the warning screen pops up.

It's misaligned, like so:

Well, that's weird. So I figure it might be a problem with my monitor. Nope, everything else works fine, and the connections are in right. I even test a second set of component cables. All is well. Well, I go into the Wii options and set the screen alignment from 0 to +8. This is what happens:

I've tried updating it, no updates. I don't want to reset it because I have bitchtons of VC games. If no one knows what is up, I'll probably head over to Nintendo Customer Service tomorrow, since they're right across the street. Seriously, it's annoying as fuck.

You could always redownload your VC games. But yeah, that's really odd. You try a full power off, unplug for a few minutes, then plug back in and power on?

No luck with that. It actually reverted to 0 instead.

Have you tried anything else in the same component hook-up? Like a DVD Player or something?

Yeah, like I said, it's happening with the Wii only. I've tried it on another TV, and the same thing happens.

Huh. Usually that's a problem with the monitor, not the source. Yeah, I guess just take it in to customer service, and they should do you right.

It's still strange, though. O_o
