According to an tipster gobo_4227, Nintendo held a small pre-E3 gathering to test the waters for a few Wii and DS games not scheduled to be shown at the big show. Most of them were still in early development stages, but a more complete title that stood out was Golden Sun for the DS. The story seems to continue where previous Golden Sun games left off, putting you in control of Felix is a pseudo-3D world. Touch screen controls are implemented and feel a lot like Animal Crossing. The tipster managed to snap a few cell phone shots, shown in the gallery below.

    The "press release" that they have next to the DS says something about Yoshi, Mach Rider and Air Zonk.

    A soothsayer is a person who claims to speak sooth: specifically one who predicts the future based upon personal, political, spiritual, or religious beliefs rather than scientific facts.
    Huh, that's a word I've never heard before.

    You've never heard the word soothsayer before? That is completely amazing to me. Not to sound degrading or anything, but it just seems so odd no one has ever heard that before.

    Hey, maybe this one won't have so many sprite emotes.

    Or a crappy script.

    And won't be really slow because of said sprite emotes and script.

    That said, I really did like the Golden Sun games.

    I love Golden Sun. I am skeptical about this though. Does anyone else remember the fake screenshot of a supposed Golden Sun DS game from a really long time ago? I was disappointed. :(

    Wow, totally weird seeing that cover in English. :P

    I grew up with Asterix, but I obviously read them in their original French. That one's "Astérix et le Devin".

    Completely offtopic, but yeah, colour me surprised that someone hadn't seen this word before. Although Julius Caesar was required reading when I was in high school.

    More recently, I'm pretty sure Soothsayer is one of the class combos in Titan quest, and I think it might show up in one of the disgaea's, but I'm not 100% on that.

    Well, that's what's probably making it orange-y.

    But there are clearly northern lights, or whatever the phenomenon is called, going from the bottom screen to the top screen.

    Looks real enough to me. If it IS fake, then they put quite a bit of time into Photoshopping it. The subtitle text matches the way it should, and like I said, that Aurora Borealis effect that goes from the bottom to the top screen matches the picture pretty well, and is not part of the original art.

    Compare to this crappy Photoshop of a supposed Wii Golden Sun, which is VERY obviously fake. Look at the subtitle, not even close to a font that the game uses.

    I'm not saying that this photo of the game ISN'T fake, but there's no real argument against it. No obvious Photoshop marks or anything.

    Man, Ivan really looks creepy in that close-up shot.

    The Jupiter Adepts are my favourite characters.

    I think it's real. The rumor mill was murmuring that a 3D Golden Sun was in the works, for DS or Wii.

    In addition to some new IP wii RPGs. Which never showed @ E3.

    Don't Camelot do a lot of the Mario Sport titles? I can imagine they'd be hard at work on Wii versions of such.
