PSU wire gauge stuff[Solved]

I'm planning on finishing the cabling job in my PC this weekend by remaking several of the wires in the machine to lengthen them and remove old molex terminations.
I picked up a few spools of 18 AWG wire for this purpose earlier today, and upon stripping some of it I realized it isn't hook-up wire. It's stranded, but the strands are fewer and larger in diameter. I realize this will cut down on the amount of current they can carry--are these suitable for use in a computer?

If you're doing power supply cables, and you have wire of equal gauge to what you're removing/changing, you should be fine.

...a thicker wire can carry more current though

One giant piece metal or a bazillion threads inside that plastic sheathing, it's not going to make a difference over the short distances and low current loads inside a PC.

    Perfectly fine.

What I figured, just wanted to be sure.
Solved, as far as I'm concerned.
