connectivity issues with my xbox 360

I just got an Xbox 360. I'm on a wireless connection and i have my 360 connected to my computer sharing my connection. At least that's what I'm trying to do. Sometimes I'll lose the ability to surf the web on my computer but then my 360 will be able to connect to xbox live. whenever my computer regains the ability to connect to the internet, my 360 is able to connect to xbox live for a little bit but then it drops and i can't connect. I really don't know what's going on. Maybe i set up ICS wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    When the 360 is unable to connect, does it run the Xbox connection test? If so, which step of that process fails?

    When you "lose the ability to surf on the web on your computer" how does that problem get resolved? I would guess that however you are restoring your connection on the PC, is in some way causing an interruption or alteration, which cascades down to the Xbox.

    Yeah, I don't know how it happened but it's been working okay for the past 5 days or so. I've been having no problems as of yet and I hope it doesn't mess up on me. Kind of odd though how it works all of a sudden O_o
