Stuntman Ignition Demo Out

I remember playing wthe first Stuntman and loving/hating it. I hated the load times and how unforgiving it was. But I loved the set pieces, loved how the replay looked after a good run, and it was just one of those games that had me playing "one more time."

So I was happy to see there was a sequel coming out, and even happier to see a demo on XBL. I been playing around with it for a while, and I'm having a lot of fun.

First, the load times are much, much improved. Now when you fail, or restart a level, you don't get loading. Just right back to playing it. Also, the game is much forgiving, as it lets you miss 5 "stunts" before ending the run. Add a combo meter than encourages to keep linking stunts together, and you have a good time.

The demo has three levels. 2 disasters piece (I love the second one myself) and a really hard icy level, which seem to have been inspired by Die another Day (That's the one with Halle Berry right?)

Anyways, check it out, and if people are interested we can post high scores.

    RAD.

The first game made me its bitch, but I finally managed to 100% all of the levels, and each time it was one of the most resounding accomplishments of my gaming history.

That game was hard and unforgiving like a motherfucker.

I got maybe 1/10th of the way through the first one and just about pitched my PS2 through a fucking wall.

Me too, but when it wasn't making me want to slash my own throat out of frustration, it was awesome!

Honestly, the only thing I was worried about was the load times. Score!

I am so bad, but it's so good.

The first was fun when I didn't want to rip my own throat out from frustration. I don't have a 360 but this looks fun.

I didn't have the patience for the first one. I played the demo a bit today. Managed to clear the first level, but didn't finish the other 2. I'll try again sometime this weekend perhaps.

The best improvement to the game is that now when you restart a level the game doesn't have to reload it. You restart right away.

This game is great. It's pretty much the same as the first one with better graphics, new levels and when you restart a level it doesn't have to reload. That's all I really wanted from it so it's perfect.

I'm so glad the load times are gone. There is nothing more frustrating than failing in the same spot 12 times in a row and then waiting 2 minutes to fail it again.

played this last night, surprisingly fun. Although i didn't really take to the 'trial and error' approach that it seems to have. I guess it's not something that can be changed, but having to learn the level by making mistakes and restarting over and over again.. i don't really enjoy that so much.

You don't have to restart more than a few times unless you're going for a single combo. If you just aren't very good there is always the easy mode.

How does this game handle the steering wheel? I sold mine after I finished up with Forza 2. Speaking of Forza 2, I wish the physics engine in Stuntman was more like that of Forza. It just feels so arcadey after all those hours I spent trying not to over-throttle all my over-powered rear-wheel drive cars.
