PC: Low sound output

I just put in a new heatsink as my micro atx piece of shit case can't seem to stand the san diego heat.
Not running any cooler, $30 down the drain wooo.

But anyways, for some reason my sound output is extremely low now, it's a onboard Vinyl AC'91.

Any ideas as to what could have caused this? Speakers are plugged in and I can only hear it when it's cranked up all the way(back when it was normal, at this volume your ears would bleed). I plugged the speakers in to my ipod just to make sure they weren't the cause and they're not.

Plugged in some headphones, can't even hear anything.

Volume is turned up in Volume Control...

Can't seem to figure this out... D:

I hate computers:x

Edit: un-installed/reinstalled drivers still same problem
help!

Check and make sure you didn't knock the soundcard out a bit when you replaced the fan?

    From the dumb suggestions department:

Check that the volume is turned up not only on the "main" slider but also the other sliders.

Check that you have plugged the speakers into the "speakers" port and not the "line out" port. I think only the speakers port is amplified, so the other one is hard to hear. Or maybe it's the other way around.

If you have a surround sound system, make sure the receiver is not set to Dolby Pro Logic if it should only be in stereo mode.
