Wii Battery help

Okay so I'm officially in the market for some rechargeable batteries. I'm pretty sick of changing my Wii remote's batteries constantly.

I heard good things about the Duracell 2650 mAh NiMH, but I can't seem to find the charger for it anywhere online.

I was curious if anyone has any good suggestions for Rechargeable batteries that I can purchase online, or in store. Do those NYKO stations actually work?

I have the Nyko station. The batteries last forever, the rubber grips on the back are a nice plus, and it costs about the same as a good charger and four batteries.

How long does it take to charge, do you know?

Depends on how drained. About 1.5 hours for one remote. Between 3 - 4 for two remotes. That's if they're fully drained.

I use Energizer 2500 mAh rechargeables.

I'd avoid 15 minute chargers if you want good long life from your batteries. Trickle charge is the way to go, let em charge up over night.

I've had the Nyko one for only a week, but so far it seems like a great solution. Much more convenient than needing to pull the batteries out to recharge them too. Haven't really paid attention to charge time (I go to work, they're charged when I come back.) but it's not extreme or anything.

When using the rechargeable batteries in the Wiimote take them out when you're not using it. For some reason I've noticed they lose their charge a lot faster while inside the Wiimote even when it's not on than if they weren't.

That happens with regular batteries, too. Must have something active even when not in use. I've had full batteries in a Wiimote be dead after a few weeks of non-use.

Disabling vibrate on the wiimote saves loads of battery time too, so you may want to consider doing that. (I've never liked vibrate on the controller, it just annoys me)

I use some really old Energizers that I bought 6 years ago. They still work really well. Take forever to charge though. But these babies more than paid for themselves over the course of 6 years.

At first I thought you were referring to just regular batteries and I was gonna say "Damn how the hell did they last 6 years?!?" but of course then I saw you mention charging and I knew you were talking about rechargeable batteries. :D

    Here's a nice charger: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00077AA5Q

The numerical lcd display and test and refresh modes are very useful if you plan to use rechargeables with any frequency. It also comes with 4 AA and 4 AAA batteries. It doesn't describe it well on the page, the C and D adapters it comes with are plastic cases that AAs fit inside with contacts on each end.
