advice plz

This is a Drawing a Random self potrait i was working on earlier today before i did anything like inking it
i thought i'd ask for some advice. It's still in the ruff faze any help or stylistic tips would be helpful.

    The top pic has some promise. Keep drawing from life, and apply those lessons to your cartoon work. The bottom pic looks like it was drawn in an etch-A-Sketch, or with nothing but the MS Paint line tool.

    Yeah i did the whole face in a kind of boxy style my chin forhead and hair don't actually have so many sharp angles.

    I don't recall Fop-a-lop-a-ding-dong being in the greater rochester area is it near Avon?

    Nah, I actually live in Westchester, which is kind of near Rochester.
