Hi-res Movie Posters

I did a quick forum search and came across plenty of places to buy posters, and I'm currently googling around looking for something myself, but it never hurts to ask:

As I mentioned in another thread (I'm thoroughly abusing this forum at the moment!) I'm moving house soon. I'd like to put up a couple of framed pictures, I want some high-res scans that I can then get printed out on A3 at a repographics shop and frame.

I would just BUY the posters, but they all seem a bit big for what I'm after.

Any suggestions for hi-res scans of posters? I'm mainly looking for...slightly geekier ones:

Donnie Darko
Transformers
Spider-Man

That type of thing.

The legality of this seems questionable... What size are you looking for? I see 1500x1000 scans from time to time but this wouldn't produce a print any larger than an 8x10 even with some expansion. For instance, a quick GIS pulled up this: http://www.visualfxblog.com/images/transformers_poster1_large.jpg

That could produce a 5x7, based on what photoshop is telling me but you might be able to squeeze a little more size out of an image like that.

Didn't even debate legality really! Just assumed being there were high quality desktop images of posters that it'd be ok!

I've had a hunt around and can't find anything, and looked at an old thread about movie posters and still had no luck.

Can anyone recommend any sites (uk based, or at least cheap delivery to here) that do posters A3 sized? Everywhere seems to do them much bigger, but I'm after A3

places like woolworths or tesco (the big ones) normally have movie posters in A3 sizes in the stores. I just did my sons room up with some new posters at A3 size (as well as the big ones), they were £3 each in tesco. Obviously i was getting disney stuff, but they did have lots of famous movie posters, and new recent movies.
