Is this a [Game On] thread for Gunbound?

Because such things are beyond my cerebral capacities to comprehend.

This is just a witty way of saying [Game On] right? Right?

Surprisingly enough, after five hours the hostage wasn't talking. The group leader had a gun against his head all that time but the guy didn't say a word.

    Number 1 for a reason.

I'm not sure if I should be more... shocked that people would kidnap somebody for an online game, or the fact the guy didn't give his password after five hours of a gun to his head.

Never underestimate a person's willpower when it concerns something that's a significant component of their lives. He's probably spent so much of his life on Gunbound that he'd rather die than see it all lost. I'm not exaggerating, either.

How did they manage to connect the person's identity to his gunbound account? In fact, how did a criminal gang even know about the game and that they could sell his password for money.

Who the hell are these people?!?! What kind of insane Bizarro universe do they come from?!?! I... just... This is far too insane to comprehend.

You know it's pretty common for gangs to be comprised of young male adults, right?

And that young male adults are the primary game-playing demographic?

I think he's saying that most criminals are too poor to afford computers or internet access, much less know how to use them.

Against all odds, our hero (or very stupid guy) resisted. Probably using some Stamina +357 spell. Or a Big Cojones +577 mana potion.

Haha, this actually made me laugh out loud.

You see, the gunman's time limit had run out which is why he was unable to fire. He should have hit spacebar sooner.

Who would buy a gunbound account for $8,000 in the first place anyway? I'm not even sure top WoW accounts would ever go for that much, or any other MMO I can think of.

You'd think if you were going to hold someone at gunpoint, it would be for something worth more than $8,000. Rob a bank or something, jeez. Kids these days.

No, you can earn most of the stuff through the digital money earned by killing people.

No, you can earn most of the stuff through the digital money earned by killing people.

In this particular case, though, you could probably buy the best stuff that guy has, for far less that $8000. Unless there's some sort of point-only or tournament prize stuff, though, though that probably doesn't make too big of a difference. The only way to get any value out of the account would be to keep pretending to be the guy, which would be impossible considering that he's going to tell everyone his account was stolen (or turn up dead).

Yeah - it may have been the news article just blowing things out of proportion, but i've seen "the best" sort of stuff in games go for abnormally large amounts. First place anything is more of a novelty if someone purchased it.
