Wait, what? That just seems odd... Do they have a reason for the contradiction?
One thing I find unfortunate is how they are toning down some of the mature themes for WAR, and then we seen screenshots for Age of Conan where there is nudity and excessive gore... Oh well.

No Bretonnians I imagine because they have 6 races and 24 classes already, and they have their hands full. They're a logical choice to not do, since it would be hard to differentiate them from the Empire.
The gender thing I don't know about, I don't play Warhammer.
The violence doesn't seem too toned down to me. No one's bathing in blood but there's plenty to be found along with skulls and whatnot. Nudity isn't really part of Warhammer, is it?
