Computer Woes

Well my computer has recently developed a problem, It starts making a horrendous noise (kinda like Kicha kicha over and over) and then freezes on me. When I listen closely it also makes a beeping sometimes it will do that and still work fine, other times it will do that freeze than unfreeze a minute later and most often completely lock up and not let me do anything. It has been happening every 10 minutes today when I turn on the computer rendering it unusable, any idea what the problem is? I know this is a horrible description but Best I can do.

Agree. Sounds Like your HD is applying for a loan to purchase agricultural lands.
    (eg buying the farm)

Recommend you buy a new one or external and back up your shit yesterday.

Enabled my Ipod for backing up because it's been doing this for awhile, should I buy a new hard drive or get a new computer?

Well to add on, computers 5 or 6 years old as is, wondering if it would be worth buying the Hd or just going out and upping it to something better.
