so my GF got a gba for a stea; but the shell is scratched so i got a new shell in pink (of course).
The problem is no instructions, and net searches don't turn up anything useful.
So i thought i'd ask the biggest gaming thinktank out there.
anyone know of a site, etc.

It's a guide to overclocking a GBA SP, but it should suffice as it shows how to get past your "hinge" problem you were talking about.
Forgetting one letter and incorrectly replacing another is not dyslexia, it's just plain incorrect. Big words and medical conditions don't trump shortcomings.
Also, I'm going to have to side with others here. You wanted info, and it was easily Google-able. Did you expect someone to post all of the pics and type out all of the instructions for you?
In other news: Whoa, the text field for posts has "google" as incorrect spelling, but "Google" isn't. Nice.
and you're not doing much to convince me they're wrong
So you simply can't pair up the letters with the intended word?
Anyway, when I discovered a method for taking apart the hinge, it was added to the Accumulated Forum Knowledge section of these forums years ago.
Screw Google. The correct response is "use teh foreum serch retard!" Actually, the forum search doesn't like "GBA" in the query. Werd.
As for dyslexia: My current and childhood friend is very dyslexic and I know that causing frustration with reading at a young age obviously has repercussions on spelling ability if it was not identified early (brain development plasticizes in the way it was wired at a young age). Frustration with reading leads to lack of reading and a child can't learn to spell if a child doesn't read, dyslexic or not. Now a married 24 year old father, he's very intelligent and is a "techie" in almost every sense of the word but he is still embarrassed to try and participate in online discussions or instant messaging because of his basic issues. Now, he reads well and learns other languages as a hobby, and yet he can't spell "no" (I shit you not; he spells it "nall" consistently thanks to the Southern pronunciation). He makes me feel stupid because he can keep up with me in highly technical conversation and yet I can't do a thing when he starts talking about the technical aspects of engines and firearms.
No it doesn't.
