Star Wars - Battlefront II

I understand that many people think that this is a fairly mediocre game, but a few friends and I always play it when we get our computers together. We're huge Star Wars geeks, and it's just fun for us to play in the Star Wars universe in a Battlefield style. However, one thing has always bothered us, and that's the use of Jedi in the non-flying maps. When I host a game, I always set Jedi to timers (available immediately, immediate respawn) and when I start, I can play immediately as the Jedi or Sith or whatever of either side. When my friends join, they cannot choose to play as the Jedi or Sith, no matter which side I'm on. When I die, if I don't choose the Jedi, the computer will continue to bug me, asking me if I want to play as the Jedi. The other players don't get that choice.

Sometimes, my friends will get to choose the Jedi on the other team, and the game gets intense as we hunt each other down, killing all we can on our way. But these opportunities are frustratingly few in number, and there doesn't seem to be any particular circumstances that has the game offering us the opportunity to play as the Jedi. Does anyone know of a mod that will let all four of us play as the Jedi of our choice, or at the very least, let both Jedi/Sith be available when the game starts, and let us divide up our time between the two players on each side? Or is there something I'm missing? We have a LAN coming up on Friday and I'd like to sort out this issue once and for all - I don't want to have to launch the Mos Eisley map in Assault mode that has Jedi and Sith all over the place.

Help me G&T, you're my only hope.

...and I thought of how all those people died, and what a good death that is. That nobody can blame you for it, because everyone else died along with you, and it is the fault of none, save those who did the killing.
