I wasnt able to find a LFG for tourneys and im assuming that there are people out there who need a group for certain tournemants or a ringer to finish up their groups. Even though I have no authority here, im am deeming this the Unnofficial Official LFG thread, so feel free to post here if you need more people for a tournemant or are alone and need some group to pick you up.
As for me I would like to find a partner for the Guitar Hero 2 cooperative on friday and also a group for the "awesomesauce" pc tournament (World in Conflict). I have completed every song on Expert for guitar hero and I can 5 star a majority of the songs. The tourney is on hard so I can 100% a large amount of those songs if we choose to do hard instead (I wouldnt reccomend it because less points over all). If anyone out there is pretty good on expert and has atleast beat the regular game on expert (not including the extra songs) I would be interested in playing together with you. As far as WIC I am downloading the beta right now to practice up. The 20k$$$ in prizes caught my eye. I am pretty much a pro at RTS games so this should be breeze for me to learn. I got 3rd in WC3 last year only because I went random on that match and shouldnt have (lost with noob NE cause of ghoul rush :P... wisp army didnt work) and I also have played basically all other popular rts games and have become an expert in them, all of the C&C games age of empires starcraft and what not. so i will atleast be pretty good at this game, in my months time for practice. its a 5v5 thing so i would like to connect online with some people to see if anyone is good and wants to put together a group and practice before pax. Edit: What I meant to say is the mods don't like it. I definitely think one should exist, and think you are just as capable as anyone else.
Myself and a buddy(both in BYOC going with 2 others) are looking for teams for both BF2 (6v6) and the World in Conflict(5v5). Would prefer to join a 4 man group for BF2, but could patch together a ragtag team. AS for WIC, once again would like to join a team, but being how its in beta, it seems less liekly.

Requirements:
Gonna be there at PAX for the whole tournament (obviously, last year took pure endurance)
Able to play with us for the rest of the month (just pubbing, get to know each other)
Have TS + mic (who plays multiplayer games and doesn't have these essentials)
Skill...tough one, I want to say at least First Sergeant so I know you've at least played the game before but I'll feel more confident in someone I've played with over someone we pick up that day.

I'm up for getting a team together with whoever. This will be my first CS tourney, but I've played CS:S more or less since it came with my copy of HL2 :-) In pubs, I typically hold out between 3:1 and 4:1 KDR. I'm heavy on Office, but as soon as I get Steam working again in my Vista install, I'll be refamiliarizing with the maps for the competition. Might be bringing a buddy from work, and if he comes, we will have practiced tactics and comms together.
This should be a lot of fun . . . I can't wait!
