My old Nvidia graphics card died a few weeks back. Just yesterday a friend gave me his old radeon x800 pro 256mb. Now I'm doing a fresh windows install, but since I've used nvidia the last few years, I have no idea what versions of radeons drivers are the best.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Benjamin Franklin used foil covered window glass to create a capacitor. He then attempted to kill a turkey with the stored charge. Instead, he knocked himself out. Franklin later wrote, "I tried to kill a turkey but nearly succeeded in killing a goose."
Only ones I know of are ATI's official drivers and the custom Omega drivers. I've used both, and besides the occasional thing being broken with one set of drivers and fixed in the other (usually fixed in Omega) I haven't noticed a difference. But I'm not huge on benchmarking or anything like that.
The good reason to use the Omega drivers that I can think of: you don't need to have some bloated Microsoft product to install it (I forgot which, I want to say .NET) like the ATI drivers.
