Help me ID some music

Ok, i understand this is going to be very hard being that i do not have a sample of what i am looking for. Here's the story: I went to a restaurant with my family the other week and halfway into the meal i went to the bath room and there was this really odd music that i really liked. It seemed like some sort of Jazz with a Hiphop or techno bass line... I know this description is probably less then helpful but it's the best i can muster, perhaps someone will be able to point me in the right direction. Many thanks!

    Wayyyy too vague there. Try looking up some examples of Nu-Jazz or Acid Jazz music and see if any of those strike you as being similar to what you are looking for.

    The first thing that sprang to mind was "Thievery Corporation." Try listening to some of the samples on Amazon, it might be in the right kind of area, at least.
