I didn't think I was going to come until today when Bioware announced that they were bringing Mass Effect ( D: ), and I was quite distraught to discover that yesterday was the last day to order a pre-reg pass. Anyone got an extra that they can sell me?

You can always buy a pass on the day of PAX.

Yeah, they sells passes at the door, you just have to pay another 5 dollars over the pre-reg price. Otherwise, there is almost no difference between the two types of pass. Other than another line.

The only problem is that I'm going with some friends who are pre-reg'ed and I'd like to be able to get in at the same time as them if at all possible.

Also, there's bound to be someone out there with a pass who can't attend any more and who'd like to recoup the costs.

I guarantee you, if they have a pass and they're there, they're going to attend, however somebody might have an extra pass from a friend that could not attend. Beyond that the only difference for entrance times comes on Friday, because you have to wait in line to buy your ticket. It's really not that bad, but somebody might pop up on here who needs to off a ticket, so don't lose hope. Just don't feel bad if you have to buy yours at the door.

That's what I'm hoping for. And just to clarify, by "out there" I didn't mean at PAX itself. I certainly don't expect anyone will be showing up without the intention of going in. ;-)

You are going to PAX just to see Mass Effect? Really? I mean it seems really cool and all, but PAX is a whole lot more than that one exhibitor game... PAX is the total win!

I don't think his post necessarily stated it would be playable by the attendees. He just said they are showing it to us, right? *Reads Bioware post* Yeah, it doesn't seem to be confirmed open playable. Let's not get into what my assumptions will be :)

I'm not going just for Mass Effect. I went last year and had a blast, wasn't sure if I wanted to take the time off for it this year, but Mass Effect sealed the deal.
