So yes, the only game to make ever make me throw my controller in frustration returns, in shiny HD on 8/28 to 360, PS3, and PS2.
I am definately getting this, even with the coming gamepocalypse coming in the next months, even if there is a likely chance I will need new controllers before I finish the game.
Anyone who has played the original or the demo knows there is ALOT of trial and error involved in this game, so if repetiveness isn't your bag, don't play this. Ever.
It should be better thanks to improved load times (Which were ATROCIOUS on PS2), and the Demo is mucho fun (quite a few stunts for one demo, I was impressed).

Pretty...

I played the demo and thought it was great. Pretty cool and really fun, especially with the whole movie twist.

Apparently this one is a lot more forgiving than the original.

here is a hint of advice, wear your headphones, the director talks to you through them. I thought it was pretty cool.

You can mess up alot more, but you won't get as high a mark.

Yeah, I was chatting and exited chat and then I hear the director telling me to turn left over the lava and nearly crapped myself.
    Very cool.

I really miss the old Rainbow Six/Splinter Cell games when they did that.

Freaked out my audience when I was talking to Six or Lambert and they didn't hear anything.

oh neat! i didn't know that about the headphones. I immediately wasn't taken with the demo, because i was expecting it to be a driving game and stuff. Then playing it some more, i agree with Tycho's newspost comment that it's a platform game. It just has wheels. And it's also good to watch someone else play, too.

I never got past Thailand in the first one. GTA 3 and up has some gameplay missions like this. This game is a lot cooler though.

The demo elevated the game's status from ignore to rent for me, so kudos to the dev team on the early demo release.

Yeah I spent a good portion of last night playing the demo.

Really like it but don't know if I $60 like it.

I don't remember that from Splinter Cell. That's a big WTF for me. But right down to the first Rainbow 6 for Xbox, your CO can talk to you from the headset instead of the TV, and you can even speak the commands and they'd do them, such as "Frag and Clear," "Flash and Clear," on Zulu, and such. Very cool. :o

I think it was Pandora Tomorrow that did it. Considering that I only played it once and that was just to complete the campaign once, my memory might be fuzzy. But yeah R6 was awesome with the voice commands/interactions.

    Game is fun.

Hard as f--- all but I don't care. Because a 5-star run makes me look like God on Wheels.

I put it on my credit card, instead. I played it for a couple hours tonight, and I'm happy with it. It's tough to string entire levels together, and it should be. If you like getting things just right, this game will have a lot of replay value. Just don't expect Forza 2 physics or anything even remotely realistic.

Definitely $60 good, if it's your thing.

    Hello fellow gamer people.

I'm curious to see what kinda scores other people are getting as of yet!

So please, post your highest string/score! Let's see what the competition is looking like thus far!

    My best:

    A Whoopin' & Hollerin' II - Scene 05 - Ridge Runners Race

178 string combo, 3,007,564 points & strung it!

    Video Evidence:

I've only gotten to the 3rd movie because I'm trying to string 'em all as I go!

    Post your best please!

That was a pretty nice run. I'm still stuck trying to string the last run of the first movie. The first runs of the second and third movies are a bitch.

Did they clean up the framerate? The demo was a little choppy. It didn't kill the game, because it was more about precision than speed, but it was still annoying.

Stuntman was a great game, but when you say the load times were atrocious, thats an understatement. Its the longest load times I've ever seen in a video game.

Well ive just finished the single player game (not including the constructor bit) and i have to say it was a lot more enjoyable than i thought it was going to be.

I cant remember the last game that has been able to change my mood from being uber pissed off and wanting to throw my controller at the TV to jumping up in joy within a few seconds, but it was worth just to get the 5 stars...

Some good levels and stunts in there too, the night avenger ones were a personal favorite. Never kill me again would have been my favorite it wasnt for the second to last stage
So many headaches were caused by the bit where after you get inside you have to do a 180 turn, up the collapsed ceiling, drift right, and then fucking two wheel it over a ceiling beam that you have to fucking do or you cant get across, all the while keeping your string going

But top game anyway, will probably try out the online later though dont know what to expect as i didnt even know it had multiplayer till i bought it...

Give me a sim racer and I can breeze through the Laguna Seca corkscrew in a 550-hp supercar with all assists off like it's nothing, but this game intimidates the crap outta me. The demo seemed pretty hectic and heavy on trial-and-error repetition, and even on easy the margin of error seemed slim. Plus I still have post-traumatic stress syndrome from the first game (goddamned tuk-tuks). I'm guessing the full game is a lot more rewarding? And is there a batshit-stunt-arena mode like the previous game?

Been playing this game for a couple weeks or so. It's frustrating, though satisfying when you manage to luck (or skill) your way through a scene. It's still hampered by the fact that sometimes it will strike you for reasons that seem unclear, and that a great run can turn to shit int he blink of an eye, resulting in a retake. But all in all I have enjoyed Ignition much more than the original.

    Holy ass!

That sounds pretty crazy. I still haven't nailed the last scene from the first movie or tried the last scene in the second movie or any movies after that. I was thinking I'd just take my time with this game, since I thought it'd always be a pick up and play sort of thing, but now I'm not so sure. After seeing how quickly my Guitar Hero skills deteriorated, I think I'd better keep up some momentum with this game or I'll never 5-star it.

This hardened stunt /motherfucker/ has joined the burning pantheon.

I finally 5-starred the game. Tip: Download a replay from the top 10 for the scene(I placed onto a few of them as Kelbear1) and see how those guys managed to string it through. You can refine your own line to death and then realize just a small change would make everything so much easier.

The second to last scene is brutally long. Took me freaking an hour and a half on that one scene alone.
