I'm looking at the count down clock on the PAX website and it says 17.00:21:xx. It's 10:35-ish here in Oregon so that does that mean PAX opens at 11:00am on Friday? The schedule says 2:00pm.
ok, double checking your math... It's currently 1:45pm here at GMT -5, which means it's 10:45 PAX time. The clock says that it's 17 days and 15 mins till PAX. which means that it would be 11am on Friday, PAX time, but the clock is correct for the Eastern Time Zone, somebody didn't do the right time zone for the widget it seems.
In all likelihood the timer is probably slightly off. I'd go by the schedule just simply because its a more set in stone time, who knows what sort of crazy adverse circumstance might of offset the timer, but it is foul I'll assure you.
But otherwise, you are correct, the timer does imply that it starts earlier, but do go by the schedule. Of course you might want to get in line by about 11 or so, so maybe you should follow it
Of course, despite it officially starting at 2pm, I intend on being there long before that. So I could argue that the timer is actually slow! 8am Friday morning FTW!!
yeah, i'm thinking 9pm thursday night like i did last time.
Oh god. Yeah, I saw you that night after just before the Pre-PAX movie and I thought, "Holy shit! Am I screwed? Am I so screwed?" And then the next morning I realized that being at the front would have been nice, but the movie was definitely worth it. Although, standing in line for a few hours in a black suit was a bit warmish.
For me, PAX actually offically starts at around 2pm on Tuesday.
Not really the same time, but for the same reason, PAX starts at around noon on Thursday, when I meet you guys in Ellensburg. I can't... effing... wait.

Do you live there? Do you go to Central or something?

Nah, I live in the Tri-Cities, in south eastern Wa, but that is where I am meeting up with the CCST with BrokenAngel and a few of our friends.
PAX officially starts for me the second the elevator doors close behind me as I jet out of the office early on Friday
Don't know when exactly I'll leave the office... guess it depends on when I see a line forming. Assuming people will use the main entrance on 7th & Pike I'll see it from my office.
I'm taking the day off on Friday so I can drive up Thursday night to go. I don't know how early I should get in line...it probably won't be until 11 or 12 on Friday.
I wonder how much trouble people will have getting a concert wristband if they get in line at 11am Friday, vs 11pm Thursday night.
Last year my friend and I got in line about 9-10 AM. We were somewhere between 10th and 15th in line, and the line was around the corner before 11:30.
This year PAX is going to be even bigger, so plan accordingly. This year I'm going with two friends. We plan to wake up at the crack of dawn and get in line with a Risk board.
Someone mind explaining to me how the concert works? I have figured out that you need to line up for a wrist band.
I have a couple of questions though.
1. They will have concerts Friday and Saturday. Will they have lines for wristbands for each show, or just once?
2. Last year there was one concert, so I guess they had one line and people lined up early. How long did you have to spend in line for the concert wristband? I don't want to miss too much of PAX to get a wristband.
I'm just curious how they are going to do it this year. There is no way I'm going to miss the Minibosses though, so I plan to get in line early.
1:
The majority of wristbands will be handed out to the people who line up before pax each day. Then there are a couple hundred that are handed out at various points throughout the day.

Last year there were 2 concerts just like this year. On friday and saturday.
If you were at pax last year the wristband stuff is evidently being handled more or less the same way.
If antone wants a specific colour, you'll have to talk to my friend when we get there, it's his board. Not that it will matter since I will see you all driven before me and hear the lamentations of your women.

If it does, sweet. If not, oh well.

Get there early enough and you can play with us.
That's a good idea.
