nintendoDS homebrew on MAC

so I'm interested in the homebrew scene, but most of the sites i go to require a PC and i have a mac, does anyone know anything about homebrew on a mac, what cart to buy?, programs to download? thanks.

    Not sure about other cards but the R4 should be OS independent. You just dump the install files onto the card and it's ready to go.

    Perhaps it would be helpful to ask this in the regular DS Homebrew thread where it might get more attention.

    Nevertheless, if you're going to be compiling DS programs on a Mac, you can just follow the Linux instructions (assuming you have GCC set up) ... get DevKitPro, libnds, and the libnds example, then find the Linux install instructions. It only takes a few minutes (basically extract the files to some spot you'll remember, then add a few values to your environment variables), and then you should be able to make any of the examples.

    As far as using the loader cards, you should be able to use any of them with the mac since you're not actually interfacing the devices, just transferring files. You especially should be able to use any of the SD or CF loaders without any issue.
