Problems with Finder after Safari quits

Its BackyardCabinXY. I was hoping someone can help me troubleshoot a computer problem i'm having. I own an imac running 10.4.10 ( 2GHz intel core Duo)

I'm currently using the Safari 3 Beta. Sometimes when I quit safari the text will still stay in the finder bar stating that safari is open. The desktop looks blank except for the dock at the bottom. My hard drive icon as well as my external icon are not there.

I then force quit safari and click on the desktop (not the finder, the actual desktop image space) and everything re-appears. So I know the problem is not very serious. This problem sometimes occurs with other applications , but it mostly occurs when I use safari.

Again, this problem is not very serious. It dosn't cripple my computer. I would just like to know how it fix it.

Thanks,

BackyardCabinXY

"I am using beta software and sometimes it crashes. This surprises me. How do I make beta software not crash?"

Are you seriously asking this question?
