Wednesday's XBLA Titles: Hexic 2 and Ecco the Dolphin
Gamerscore announced this week's XBLA titles, Hexic 2 and Ecco the Dolphin:
Whether you're feeling competitive this summer or just want to take a break and unwind, you can do both this week with the latest additions to Xbox LIVE Arcade: "Hexic 2" and "Ecco the Dolphin." Both games will be available to download this Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. GMT (2:00 a.m. PDT).
Building upon the addictive gameplay of its predecessor, "Hexic HD," the highly anticipated sequel "Hexic 2" (Carbonated Games) offers new special pieces, challenges, additional formations and an innovative head-to-head battle mode!

Gamers can also travel through time this Wednesday with "Ecco the Dolphin" (SEGA), a fun, whimsical update of the classic undersea exploration game featuring an online leaderboard that tracks "Best Time," and includes enhanced graphics and sound.

The original Hexic came packaged with the 360 HDD and was a mind bending puzzle game that kept many of us occupied for hours. Will Hexic 2 live up to it's predecessor's glory? Only time will tell!
Ecco the Dolphin on the other hand, is a blast from the past, and many Sega nuts will be excited to see this title on XBLA. What do you guys think? More retro junk, or a title that's only gotten better with age?
i never played Ecco first time around, so i'll at least be giving the trial a shot, but i have a habit of buying Arcade titles, then never playing them again. Track and Field was a great impulse purchase for me, though. Good fun. There's also meant to be the skate demo coming on wednesday, which is likely to steal my attention too. Still though, i'm happy they're keeping a steady stream of content coming to the system.
I hate to derail this any more, but all you fuckers that are lamenting it's not Hexen 2 need to buy it off Steam and someone needs to set up a server and let us all wreck each other's shit. It'd be awesome.
