Random little curiousity survey: - How many drive letters are you using?
P.S. to change drive lettering, go to control panel, then administrative tools, then computer management, then disk management in the left pane. right click a drive and voila
A: 3.5 floppy (currently unplugged)
C: Main HDD (XP/programs/games, named Important Pants) Media HDD (downloads/misc shit, named Parachute Pants)
E: DVD-RW
F: CD-RW
I: iPod (named Trendy Pants)
U: USB Flash Drive (named Portable Pants)
V: Virtual CD Drive (Daemon Tools)
X: Media HDD (backup, named Preventative Pants)
Y: Media HDD (music, named Musical Pants)
Z: Media HDD (music mirror, named Shiny Pants)
Also, is B: sorta reserved from tradition for the 5" floppy drive?
B: is kinda reserved for a 5" floppy, but can used by a second 3.5" floppy or the first 3.5" floppy if you connect it with a cable that has no twisted wires (most floppy cables has a about 8 or so wires twisted before the final connector).
Also I'm down to about K: when I connect my MP3 player.

This is a laptop though, so not going to have many drive letters.

C: HDD
D : DVDRW
E: DVD-ROM
F: Card reader
G: Card reader
H: Card reader
I: Card reader
J: External HDD
K: iPod/Thumbdrive (L: if both)

A through Q less B at the moment. Add R if I put in a thumbdrive, S for bluetooth virtual drives.
That's 1 floppy, four card-readers (covers all the formats), two virtual drives for mounting isos for test purposes, two optical drives (one superdrive, one DVD RW) and the other six are various HDD partitions for media/downlads/larger programs etc.
Of course a couple of those are mounted as folders inside My Documents too.
Floppy Drive
DVD RW
Compact Flash Drive (never used)
Memory Stick Drive (never used)
Smart Media Drive (never used)
USB Hard Drive
Windows Partition
Linux Partition
Card reader on my Printer (never used)
SD card reader
And you only have the option of assigning 26 letters to drives so that'd probably be the maximum. Though you can probably add additionals as suplemental storage for existing drives.
It used to be:
A floppy
B 'floppy' (wierd security lock/unlock part of the USB thumbdrive that I always had plugged in)
C main HD
D DVD drive
E CD-RW drive
F secondary internal HD
G External HD
H 2nd partition on the same external HD (don't ask me, it came like that and for ages I just didn't bother to reformat it)
I USB thumbdrive
plus whatever other USB devices I had plugged in (thumbdrives, mp3 players or printer) and normally 3 Daemon Tools virtual drives.
Now it's just floppy drive (a), main HD (c), DVD drive (d) and secondary HD (i)
My current computer is not so impressive, but let's see if I can remember my last work computer:
A: floppy
C: HDD DVDR
E: Virtual Drive
F: Novell personal drive
G: Novell department drive (my department)
H: Novell department drive (all other departments)
I: Card Reader
J: Card Reader
?: Novell applications drive
?: Novell common files drive
U: Novell users drive
W: Mapped drive for Vegas network rendering
Y: Mapped drive for Portfolio photos
Z: Mapped drive for music
EDIT: Also, there were a few USB drives plugged in from time to time, but I'd rather not include them since they weren't really permanent.

Needless to say I unplug it unless I need it. Damned thing could at least wait until there's a card in before mounting a drive.
It's either Z or ZZ, i think.
edit: it's Z. so 26.

(Mac user)
Though at work, I think I'm using something like 6. The Floppy drive, two cd/DVDR drives, C, then a card reader on the printer, then a USB stick.
