Harmotion – Online Shmup

Hey guys, I’m the Associate Producer for Harmotion, which is a new online multiplayer shmup. Anyways, we just released our newest build, Alpha v.3, and it still requires a semi-high-end system to run (we haven’t created all the “low res” particles/textures/etc. completely yet). It’s a (mostly) multi-player game with 6 races, each with different shots (and shot evolution), some crazy particle effects, power-up items, and very intense action (matches are typically 45-75 seconds).

Any critiques would be greatly appreciated as we are looking to improve this as much as possible for an early 2008 release.
http://www.harmotion.org is the place to go for the new build. If you have any questions, let me know!

Thanks

sorry but from the trailer there's nothing about this game that makes me want to play it. Frankly it looks boring as shit, gameplay looks like you just ripped it straight from a 1980's arcade machine and gave it 3d particles.

when you throw around words like multiplayer online shmup I invision a massive co-op campaign that you and your friends can enjoy. Not a left/right spamfest with little or no tactics involved.

particle effects that are "crazy" isn't going to sell your game, and from the "intense action" i saw in the trailer I'm thinking 45-75 seconds it the maximum amount of time you can invision yourself enjoying the gameplay.

    do not want.

The game is alright, but this thread was not a good idea.
