Online shopping in Canada - help please

So I just moved back to Canada after spending 5 years in California. During those 5 years I was spoiled by the vast amount of online shopping I had available to me. Now that I'm back, I'd like to find substitutes, if at all possible. I'm sure most of these places will ship internationally, but I don't want to pay the shipping/duty fees if I don't have to.

I know we have Futureshop and Bestbuy and Amazon, but I'd like replacements for:

newegg: where can I get cheap computer parts, memory sticks, etc?

monoprice: because one day I might actually need a $6 HDMI cable

gamefly/netflix: are there any decent online rental places here? And if so, they're probably all out east, right?

half.com: what about used games/movies/music?

Those are the sites I used the most. I'm also open for recommendations for other useful sites.

You could always use ebay.ca for some things, and for game renting there is Gameaccess.

Tigerdirect and Ncix are both good websites for computer parts.

I would stick with NCIX, tigerdirect tends to forget the difference between new and refurbished.

EDIT: Also where in Canada are you?

www.canadacomputers.com as well for computer parts, although if you live near one it might be a smarter idea to just walk in.

although I get the impression you live out west, so ncix is probably a better call.

You can use monoprice here as well, Zip.ca seems to be a decent online DVD rental outlet.

Thanks for the links so far!

I'm in Edmonton, but I don't mind waiting for shipping from out east. I just wouldn't sign up for a rental place from there, probably.

For computer parts I have had good experiences with http://directcanada.com/

For gamefly alternative I have seen http://gameaccess.ca/ mentioned but have no experience with them.

    Don't forget to check http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/

This site has saved me thousands of dollars and is basically Canada's equivilant of slickdeals.

Another note: You can order stuff from Amazon.com and most of the time you won't get charged duty (at least that's been my experience here in Ontario) ... Amazon.ca blows big chunks in terms of it's inventory selection, and most of the time even after currency exchange Amazon.com is far cheaper.

also for general free buy and sell ads, kijiji seems to be pretty good, depending on location.
