I'm leaving my apartment prior to 10:30 or 11 on Friday. But seriously, the CCSTers left more than 24 hours ago. PAX is already well underway for some people.
I'm working right now but tomorrow morning after work I am out of here baby! Nothing like working at a hotel 5 minutes away from the airport, it's awesome.
all you PAX fuckers who are bored in Seattle had better come visit me at the University Village Apple Store. I work from 1 to 9, with a lunchbreak around 5. Let's get a quick dinner or something!

I was driving some out-of-towner friends around, and I kept complaining about being blinded. They responded with "You see, where we come from, people tend to wear Sunglasses." I retorted with a simple "You people tend to have sun."
5. Making Poast From PAX, don't be a douchebag
This is perhaps one of the most important things to know about PAX. Everybody loves to post while at PAX. I'm not sure what the draw is, but I'm guilty of it myself. One thing you want to avoid is starting or posting in any thread that even slightly resembles "Poasting at PAX, hurr durr." If you've got something to say, post it in the appropriate forum. If it's about PAX, of course it should be in the PAX forum. If it's about playing a game at PAX, take it to G&T, if it's about cocks, dongs or other forms of penii, take it to SE++, I think you get the idea. All that said, if the post is about PAx, it should have more in it than the fact that you are at PAX and posting.
Walking into the office this morning there's a lot of activity at the WSCTC... forklifts moving stuff from the loading dock and whatnot.
Saw several people wearing PAX badges and three guys with bags full of lanyards walking by gameworks. I'm assuming most these guys are helpers they just weren't wearing Enforcer shirts yet. I did see an Enforcer wearing his shirt ordering a crêpe at "Crêpes Voilá" (or whatever it's called) on the street outside the convention center.
1. No rollaway beds if you've got 2 doubles. Which is shit because I've got 2 roommates who are supposed to be flying in today.
2. I can't seem to be able to get into Gameworks. HALP!
3. Making a coherent phonecall in English is harder than I thought ;p
The *unofficial* West Coast Solo Trip is a success. I just checked-in to the Sheraton after driving 16 hours without stopping, except for gas, and an unexpected 2 hour delay at a Rest Stop. I passed out shortly after turning off the engine when I pulled in. I woke up 2 hours later, disoriented, wondering where the hell I was? O_o
Driving up I-5 wasn't all that bad. There are 2 lanes open, and it only takes about 10-15 minutes to get through. This was at approx. 9:50AM, you're experience may differ. Tip: Stay in the left lane, the right lane was backed-up pretty bad.
Well, good to hear the solo trip went well. Gives me hope for the merry band of fools I'll be travelling with.
The completely unofficial Sardine trip, or the "How Many Gaming Nerds CAN we fit into a minivan with a 2 year old for 12ish hours" leaves in about 10ish hours. Fortuneately for us, the 2 year old is a heavy sleeper.
I'm sitting (and will be for around an hour) in an airport in Asheville, NC. After this I'll sit around for two more hours in Atlanta. God bless waiting til the last minute for flights. Checking in only gave me the tickets for the trip to Seattle (both parts of it) - will I need the credit card used to get the return tickets?
I'm sitting at work, counting down the minutes (232 to go!) until I can leave for PAX. It's almost mind-numbing, the quiet and cold in here, knowing that in just under 24 hours, I will be in gaming nirvana.
I know, it is driving me crazy waiting for the time to leave for PAX in the morning (which is about 17 hours from now)

It's funny... walking around downtown for lunch I'm eyeballin people more than usual and seeing plenty of potential pax'ers unloadin from cars & looking around at the buildings. Visitors to the city are usually easy to spot from locals... cuz they look up & around more often... so it's just a matter of deciding "is that visitor a gamer?"... not always easy to tell... sometimes too easy.

Pumped for tomorrow!
Yell "GO FRUIT FUCKER!" at them and if they cheer or smile, they're familiar with PA and likely here for PAX. If they run in fear or call law enforcement on you .. well, not so much.
