Im watching the news and it says ir is supposed to be around the 80's tomorrow before PAX opens.

I was driving some out-of-towner friends around, and I kept complaining about being blinded. They responded with "You see, where we come from, people tend to wear Sunglasses." I retorted with a simple "You people tend to have sun."

They always say that. Was supposed to be that hot today and it wasn't too bad.

Don't worry, the line will be indoors, not around the building, so it shouldn't be too bad.

How big do you anticipate the line will grow by 2? Last PAX I went to only a fraction of attendees bothered to line up (i mean because really aside from concert passes there is no point to being first)

    Good point.

Being a not-elite sort gamer I kind of pretend the tournaments don't exist.

Well, to us seattleites, who don't live in devil county like yourself--assuming you location is accurate--80 is plenty hot. :P

Give me high 40s and a drizzle and I'm a happy man.

80 degrees is uncomfortably hot to almost all Seattle natives... hence the whining. We like it overcast and cool up here.

My location is accurate, and I would kill for some 80 degree weather. Although it's better here than when I lived in Louisiana.

I remember similar whining while I was in Canada one summer, and just chalked it up to Celsius screwing with their heads.
    That's a joke.
We all know Canadians were screwed up before Celsius.
    That too, was a joke.

Yeh, if you take a seattle native and drop him in a typical New Mexico summer, he will spontaneously combust. I remember the first time someone said "OMG it's so HOT" when it was 82 outside. I nearly fell over laughing.

Gotta agree with my fellow Seattleites. Anything over 70 feels too damned hot to me. I remember the year it got to 100+...the city nearly shut down.

New Mexico wouldn't be too bad compared to what Kansas City and the surrounding area has been like. At least in NM, there's hardly any moisture in the air.

The past 3 weeks in KC, it's been pretty much between 90 and 100 degrees with humidity levels ranging between 60 and 90%. It has sucked, big time.

Keep in mind it's August, so the high won't be reached until about 3:30 or so. Also, the A/C in the center is NICE.

Where are you posting from Liger? I'm in the Sheraton lobby ^_^

And regarding temperature, I think it would require a nuclear bomb to raise the temperature that much. So... no nukes anyone.
