Free T-Shirt Thread!

I just thought it would be cool to list all the free T-shirts that were available and people got. Mine were:

1- Nvidia T-shirt (Waited in line to get it.)
2- God of War Shirt (Happened to pass by this random Sony booth on Friday)
3- Astro Shirt (They were demoing the audio stuff, I just tried it out and they gave it to me)
4- Mass Effect Shirt (They give them out during the demos)
5- PS3 PAX '07 Shirt (I did the weird treasure hunt at the Sony booth and it's one of the prizes)

There was also a Parrapa Shirt, but apparently he (Parrapa) gave them out right after I left.

What other shirts were available for free at Pax?

I couldnt find any T-Shirts even though I was trying to get some.

I tried to get the Pirate one, but there was always just an unorganized mob of people surrounding the computers and you had to play to get one.

I also didnt spend as much time as I should have in the Exhibition Hall during Friday where most of the T-shirts were probably taken.

I entered a drawing for some shirt at the Wii Tennis booth, but didnt win that.

My friend got a Microsoft T-Shirt that said "Whats your gamer tag?" or something like that.

Next year Ill have a friend sign up for tournaments while I try to get free stuff.

This was my first time at a gaming convention and I came away with 16 t-shirts. I sort of had a friendly competition with a buddy of mine, and we both ended up getting the same number.

My favorites were the Buck Hunter, World Conflict, and Parapa shirts. :)

To the vendors: Free tshirts = great advertising (especially if someone would wear it outside) = awesome!

I got pretty much all the free ones, but the best free shirt by far, and the ONLY one that was designed by a famous designer, was the Parappa the Rapper shirts designed by Paul Frank. That's the only one I care if I ruin by overwearing. What an awesome shirt.

I waited for 45 min. to play Pirates to get my "Support Piracy" shirt. I also got this sweet shirt that had the 3 next gen controllers on it and said something like "Contrary to popular opinion, these do not make me a killer."

Got a few others as well, but I'll pass them on to other people as freebies.

A God of War T? Bummer! I wish I'd have known - I would have loved to have one!

    My loot (t-shirts, anyway):
Pirates of the Burning Sea (and in a girls' style and my size, too!)
    Playstation 3 (from their quest/competition/game)
Can't remember the company, but they had the demo CD in the clear plastic sleeve, and one of the games on it was Sherlock Holmes: The Awakening (shirts all were just one rather large size - but still free swag!)

Also, I was very un-impressed with the guy staffing the booth whose company I can't recall. I asked him about the games on that demo CD, and he was very bored, unresponsive, and uninformed. He hadn't even heard of some of the games on their CD! And - that was when the booth was even staffed at all.

I managed to score two of the Sword of the New World T-shirts because I mentioned twice (on two different days) that I played on the Orpesia server, and in both cases, the K2 folks were so excited to hear that someone at PAX actually played their game that they eagerly bestowed upon me a T-shirt. Normally I would have declined the second T-shirt, but my best friend also plays the game and she was unable to make it to PAX, so I was glad to be able to get a T-shirt for her as well.

I also go another black T-shirt... the Kiss My XPS shirt, which will probably go to my boyfriend since it's an XL.

So that's 3 total, though I will only keep the one. Ah well, I'm not a big fan of T-shirts anyway. :) I'm liking the Alienware bag though, it was great for swag!

Great amount of swag this year :D

Actually, a rather disappointing amount of swag this year.

Don't get me wrong, I love PAX, and loved it this year, but the swag was disappointing. 2005 I walked away at the end of PAX, with about 10-15 shirts, and about 5 hats. Not to mention the 3-4 swag bags FULL of stuff. And I think I had some stuff in my backpack... But yeah, lots of stuff.

Even last year, I got like 6 shirts or more, and a couple hats.

And even with the lack of PAX swag, it still rules. 8-)

I'm only sad that I didn't get all the shirts that people here are listing.

I have decided, that next year I will NOT go with the same group of friends I have been going with. My interests as far as PAX goes are too different. One them has massive ADD, so cant be bothered with most things. The other, is kinda elitist, and very cynical. So yeah, next year, new group all together.

Anyone wanna be my '08 PAX friend?

In no order (well, in the order that I pull them out of the swag bag):

    1- Dell "Kiss my XPS"
    2- Manhunt 2
    3- Guild Wars - Nightfall (x2)
    4- Mass Effect
    5-bought PAX07
    6-bought Shoryuken
    7- Uncharted Drake's Fortune
8- History Channel Great Battles of Rome
    9- Astro Gaming
    10- God of War

I REALLY wanted the Support Piracy and Booty shirts, but every time I got in line to play the demo, I would stay there for maybe ten minutes, and get into a conversation and wander off :-) Never even saw nVidia shirts, would have loved one of those too.

I'll be wearing one of these a week on Casual Friday :-) Anyone local want to trade for my spare Guild Wars shirt? It's an XL, and I can only wear one at a time, oddly enough :-)

Wow, I really hope my friends don't read this, but I totally understand where you're coming from. All I wanted to do was to run around and do my own thing but they would not stop following me around and bothering me! Another one was always way too freaking loud (I swear you can hear him before you see him) and yelling out questions, while another was being a total freak, bothering everybody all day and being a total jackass to people that we just met.

This was probably my worst PAX out of the 3 I've been to, and only because the whole time I felt like I was a mom babysitting a bunch of stupid teenage boys who would not stop talking about all their stupid teenage boy things (gay stuff, sex stuff, blowing up stuff, /b/ stuff)

I think I'm going to start going by myself starting next year.

But anyway... free shirts... I got a Manhunt 2. I didn't bother too much with free swag this year, but I'm happy with what I got.

True, you don't have to hang with them the entire time. I am just not the type of person to meet new people well, and I find doing things by myself, either stressful, boring, or both.

But a year is a long time, so '08 could be an entirely different story!
