First off, if this is a problem the mods can either close it or everyone can let this fall to the bottom.

I found a coupon in the mail today telling me I get 10% off on any game this weekend. I then realized I have not bought a DS game in ages, and also that it's been even longer since I've bought an RPG. I have been through all the threads on Luminous Arc, Rune Factory, and Heroes Of Mana and know the gist of all three games. But through this thread I wanted to see what the general opinion of deeper gameplay between the three and how much I'd get out of any one of them comparatively.

I would say go with Rune Factory. The other two seem to have flaws that would turn off anyone who isn't huge into SRPGs.

Rune Factory all the way. My first Harvest Moon game, and my only regret in getting this is that I haven't been playing them all along.

Xenogears of Bore

I've played all of them, own two of them. Rune Factory then Luminous, then Heroes. In that order.

Rune Factory is a breath of fresh air for the franchise and pretty easy to get into if its your first time.

Luminous is by the books but well made.

Heroes, well, there is a reason I didn't buy it.
