I've been lurking for some time and I tought this would be the place to ask. As the title says I'm looking for a 100% save for Aliens vs Predator gold.
Some backstory. I bought avp gold from a bargain bin a few years ago because I read that it was a good game and I liked the first two alien movies. I don't really know why I bought it because I suck at action games and don't care for horror games that much.
If I remember correctly from my short test play when i got it, using cheats in a level doesn't allow you to progress to the next one, so to get something out of the game I'd like to have a 100% save so I can play the single player through with godmode and mess around with the unlockable cheats that I'm sure I'm not good enough to get.
It'd be nice if one of you could link or provide me with a 100% save.
I couldn't find a save through a quick look in the most obvious places, nor a trainer to override the cheats but I do remember playing the game and I don't remember it blocking you getting to the next level if you cheat. If it did, I don't know how I got around it. We are talking 3-4 years ago here.
I remember, back when I had Windows 98 (...since as far as I know AvP doesn't work on XP...at least it didn't when I tried to install it), the most fun I would have with AvP (and the expansion...which really just adds weapons to singleplayer) would be with the launcher. The launcher allowed you to start on any level (...even levels that the normal game didn't let you start on), and let you turn on the grappling hook for the marine and the jetpack for the predator.
...it also let you spawn with god mode, a different colored sky, 'unlockable cheats', all weapons, and with the ability to spawn a bunch of friendly (or not so friendly) bots. Nothing like Orbital with a squad of marines and a bunch of spawned predators.
If I remember correctly you can only have 8 marines or aliens at a time (so 2 marines, 6 aliens or whatever), if you're looking for giant battles. I know this doesn't really help the 'save game' problem, but you should be able to enjoy all the levels (and I believe it let you progress if you complete a level...although I don't know if it saved it to your profile.
To get all sorts of nifty tools (...and probably useless multiplayer maps) go to http://www.planetavp.com/avp/files/ and get the Aliens vs. Predator Launcher. Unfortunately FilePlanet is the only place I know of where it's readily downloadable.
After I had beat the game this was the way I always played it (...or multiplayer, but I'm really doubting the existence of servers for it after all this time).

The facehuggers want to play with you in the AvP LP. Facehuggers also want you to check out the TF2 cards here. View the in-progress RE mansion recreation for L4D here.
If it was normal AVP and not gold(Assuming the saves are incompatible), I could whip through the game and unlock you everything pretty quick. But this isn't gold, so it isn't really relevant.
